Musing
Karg cannot remember the last time he had a break. He has been at his post
for a least a double shift. That tousle he had with Nerys is going to have to
last him for a while.
Captain Ketchum wanted all senior staff on the bridge during this . . . what
. . . emergency but cheese Louise. Karg’s personal best time for standing at
post was forty-seven hours and it looks like he is going to get a chance to
break that record.
Then he wondered why were Federation vessels firing at us? What was that all
about? Perhaps this is a good day to die. Anyway, the possibility of boarding
parties is exciting. Unless they sent commandos, Federation officers were
rarely as good as they thought they were. Perhaps it had something to do with
getting mussy.
Karg decided, in that eventuality, to gear up. To the Dk'tahg he always wore
he added an equipment belt, a mek’leth worn at the back, a phaser worn
cross-draw and a hidden type one phaser.
Karg tied in to the library computer for all he could find on Talos IV. Even
Klingons have heard of this place and of the Court Marshall of Commander
Spock. Why does the CO want to go there? Surely there are safer places to hide.
We
could all end up as lab rats to amuse a culture that could no longer amuse
itself. Lets just hope they don't recreate Lursa and Betor.
Sr. Lt. Karg
Chief Tactical & Chief Covert OPS Officer
