"Meeting Ensign Sakong"

Skyler was eager to see Mehdi as the wedding was only two days
away and they still had a lot of preparations to do. She just hoped that he
was ready. She had already talked to the Captain and to Dr. Moreya, who was 
going to stand up for her. Hopefully Mehdi was as prepared. As she walked into 
sickbay she could hear a new voice. Looking at the PADD she was holding it 
showed that they had a new crew member. One Ensign Sakong. Interesting.

"DR Idrys, do you have a moment?"

Idrys looked up. That was the voice he loved to hear. "Of course. What can I 
do for you?" He smiled.

The large Gorn Sakong enters the ships sick bay for a
pre-duty physical.  Ducking he enters sick bay looking around. "Sakong
reporting" looking at the people in the room inception.

"Ah Ensign, I'm Doctor Mehdi Idrys. This way if you would."
He led the way over to a biobed. "All right." He pulled out a medical
tricorder and began running scans.
    "Mmm hmm .... blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, pulse
... all normal." He flipped the tricorder closed.

Seeing the Large Gorn, Skyler looked at her PADD again. "Excuse
me, but you wouldn't be Ensign Sakong from engineering would you? I have been 
meaning to get down to meet you but haven't had the chance yet."

"How are things going for you in Engineering Ensign?"

Looking over to the lady speaking to him. "I have not been there yet but i 
anticipate a fair working environment" 


"Well, If you need anything be sure to ask Jr Lt K'etrall, she will be able 
to help you out. I am sure you will do just fine." Skyler looked at Sakong and 
then back at Mehdi.

"K'etrall ... I certainly hope she has been doing better since she was in 
here last. Those were some very nasty burns I had to treat." Mehdi showed his 
usual concern.

"Thank you I shall" turning his attention back to the man examining him, 
listening to his story of a wounded comrade.

"The last time I talked to K'etrall she was doing fine. They just need to 
find a Chief Engineer to guide them and then perhaps accidents like those wont 
happen again." Skyler was concerned about engineering as she was each 
department.

Sakong looked at both Skyler and Mehdi and asked,   "Is there a high casualty 
rate aboard this vessel?"

Skyler looked at Mehdi. "No not at all. In fact I don't believe that we have 
lost a crew member since we launched."

Idrys chuckled. "Indeed not and certainly none under my watch, I'm happy to 
say." He looked at the new crewman. "And don't you dare tarnish that record, 
understand?" He grinned. "Cleared for duty."

"Thank you doctor" raising up "May I be excused?" turning his head.

"Let me be the first to welcome you to the Avalon Ensign. And good luck with 
you new position. You may be excused."

"Thank you Ma'am" lashing his tongue upward wetting his eye. 

As Sakong left, Skyler looked at Mehdi, "I hope you are prepared for the 
ceremony? You better not be waiting until the last moment either."

Skyler gave him a quick kiss and left him speechless as she return to duty on 
the bridge.
