Doctor's Re-Appointment

       Felicity was reviewing the crew manifest, and had chosen three 
potential 'immediate' meetings, when the Captain requested her presence on in 
office.  "Perhaps the circumstances of their current mission had changed and 
she 
would in fact be needed for the Allegiance crew sooner than expected," she 
thought 
to herself.

       She made her way to Deck 2 and rang the chime.  A terse, 'enter' was 
the reply from the other side.  She walked in and sat across from the Captain.  
He was holding a PADD and a visible grimace on his face.

       "Ahh, Dr. Roan.  The good Admiral has been making some changes within 
the Fleet.  She's recalled Dr. Moreya for a reassignment elsewhere."

       Felicity nodded slowly, "Well I'm sorry to hear that sir, she seemed 
very nice and a competent doctor.  Her presence will be missed by the Avalon 
crew, I'm certain."

       "Yes, well, I'm sure.  In any case, this leaves me without a Chief of 
Medicine.  The Admiral couldn't offer me a replacement; however, in reviewing 
your file, I've noted you had extensive Medical background, as did Admiral 
Valdez.  We'd like you to take the spot.  Considering the current mission, I'd 
rather have another Doctor versus a Counselor, wouldn't you agree?"

       With a bob of her head, she acknowledged her agreement.  "Yes, of 
course Captain, and I understand the position you've been put in.  I'll take 
the 
position.  As you said, I've experience in Medical that will be of use. "

       The Captain eyed her reaction.  He wasn't sure she was happy about 
this change of duties, but she was being honest that she understood his 
unfortunate turn of events.  He watched her stand and wait to be dismissed.

       "You're clear on your new duties then Doctor concerning the new 
mission?"  Felicity indicated that she did, "Yes Captain, inoculations against 
radiation for those crew who are in need.  I understand this is gamma 
radiation, 
correct?"

       With a nod, she was ready to go about her business.  "I'll speak with 
Doctor Rashon and we'll get to work immediately on the project.  Should you 
require any additional assistance with the Allegiance, kindly advise."  He 
studied the orders from the Admiral, and said while still looking down, 
"Dismissed."
