Life's Little Lessons

by Lieutenant Colonel Soliel and Lieutenant Vevay Davis

The stress of everything that had been happening on the ship fell away from her
with the small drops of water that rolled down her skin as Soliel rose from her
rose scented bath. Normally she?d have one of her little pets who?d been
especially good lately attending her, but she?d decided to spend a few hours
alone. She dried off. paying careful attention to her long dark hair, and then
slipped on her favorite silk robe before heading out into her living room and
pouring herself a glass of wine. She settled onto her long, curved, plush
lounge chair and ordered the computer to play one of her favorite Bajoran
flutists.

Trailing a finger along the bulk head, Vevay smiled to herself as she headed to
Soliel's quarters. It was her time, allotted and set, to be with the Chief
Engineer. There was still a little nervousness in her stomach as she pressed
the chime to Soliel's room.

Soliel looked up from the letter she was reading from Ronni. For a moment she?d
been surprised by the shrill sound that had invaded her space since she?d
canceled her dinner with Markus, but then she remembered that she hadn?t
canceled Vevay. A slow smile spread across her face as she tucked the letter
under the cushion of her chair. Maybe she didn?t want to be so alone after all.

?Come.? Soliel called out as she picked up her wine glass.

Sliding in, Vevay smiled smoothly. Going to her knees before Soliel, she waited
for her command.

Vevay was an amazing creature. Bright, eager, beautiful. It was no wonder she
was Soliel?s favorite. After taking a moment to drink in both the sight of the
woman before her, and the rest of her wine, Soliel held out the glass. ?Come
here pet and pour us both a glass. Tonight we relax.?

In one fluid motion, Vevay poured the wine and presented it back. Tentatively,
she poured her own and sat on the floor, her legs folded under her. "How may I
relax you?"

Soliel took a sip from her glass before placing it on the table beside her.
Turning a bit so she was more comfortable, she reached out and ran her fingers
through Vevay?s hair which was a shade or two lighter then her own. She drew
the younger woman towards her and kissed her softly. When she pulled away she
smiled. ?Your such a good girl, pet, but tonight we?ll relax together.? Soliel
drew Vevay up so she was sitting on the edge of her chair instead of the floor.
A privilege only she was allotted.

In shocked silence, Vevay followed Soliel's lead. Sipping lightly, she tried to
relax but there was something totally dominating about the other woman's
presence. With gentle care, she lowered her glass to the table top.

"Let me ease your relaxation, Lady."

?There is a fine line between being eager to please and boarding on pathetic,
pet.? Soliel scolded, her face turning stern. ?When I offer you a chance to
simply spend time with me without having to serve you should take the offer.?

Stupid Vevay, real stupid! She leaned back into the seat and tried to relax.
Not an easy thing to do when around such an impressively powerful woman. "I
merely offered my services to you, I enjoy the time you allow me with you.
That, in itself, is relaxation to me." Beats the hell out of sucking up to an
arrogant man, that's for sure.

Soliel didn?t invade Vevay?s thoughts like she did with most of the others. She
had a great respect for the young woman. She did however, have a connection to
her that allowed her to pick up on emotions naturally. Both a positive and a
negative for telepaths with such lifestyles. Soliel reach over and took hold of
Vevay?s chin, making the young woman look at her. ?I will not stand to have you
put down, Vevay, not even by your self. Your to bright and full of promise to
think so negatively of yourself. We will work on this.? She scolded once again.
She paused a moment to make sure her meaning was clear, and then she released
the young one?s face. Then her features relaxed into more of a concerned
_expression as she softened her tone. ?Now tell me what troubles you, pet.?

"The man I work for, you know him? Major Quinn, he's a very powerful man. He's
also a complete wanker. I want to be closer to him, to learn from him, to..."
She left it unsaid, she knew Soliel would pick up on her meaning.

?I know of him.? Soliel replied as she reached out to play with Vevay?s hair.
?I don?t like him. He?s arrogant, self absorbed, and would most likely sell his
own mother to the enemy if it got him closer to becoming the God he thinks he
should be.? A wicked smile crossed her face for a moment. She wasn?t going to
delude herself in thinking she could handle breaking that one, but oh the fun
her Ronni would have with him. Returning her attention to Vevay, she brushed
the back of her hand against Vevay?s cheek. ?Don?t worry, pet. I know what you
mean. He?s in your line of work, so naturally he can teach you things I can
not. I would also never deny you the chance to test the worm?s virility. As
long as it doesn?t interfere with when you are mine.?

"Never," she whispered as she leaned forward to brush lips with Soliel. "These
times I treasure. You teach me so much simply by your requests." Maybe I
shouldn't have said that... Vevay flinched.

Soliel looked concerned again. Vevay had learned a great deal over the time
they?d spent together, and she had thought they were past certain things. ?Why
are you flinching after nearly every statement you make to me?? A dark blaze
flashed in her dark eyes. ?Has he harmed you??

"No, lady, I just..." Blowing out a breath, she finally admitted, "He scares me
a little." Such a fucking mouse, grow a backbone!

?He is only a man, pet.? Soliel said as if somehow that explained it all. ?All
men have their weaknesses, their breaking points. They are certainly nothing to
be feared. Play his game as an equal and nothing less. Learn what his
weaknesses are while you build him up. Stroke his ego while making yourself
appear as non-threatening as possible. Lean from him what you can while you do
this.? Soliel looked Vevay right in the eyes as she went on. ?Do not however
allow him to learn of your weaknesses. Do not let him turn the tables on you.
And do not see yourself as anything but the one in control. Then when the
moment is right.. Crush him.?

A thrill went through her at Soliel's words. "I learn so much from you," she
said with awe. Tracing a line down her cheek, she cupped her chin and smiled.
"Thank you."

Soliel allowed herself a small smile at Vevay?s honest words. This one would
make a fine lady herself someday. After a moment she allowed her small smile to
shift into a large grin. She?d tasted a hint of the thrill that washed through
her dear one, and she planned on taking full advance of it. ?I believe there
are quite a few other things I?ve taught you. Some rather recently in fact.
Lets see just how well you?ve learned your lessons, pet.?

Bringing their lips together, Vevay smiled. "Which one in particular?"

Without a word, Soliel rose to her feet. Normally at this point a woman would
take her lover by the hand and lead them to the bedroom, but why lead when you
know you will be followed? She perched on the edge of her bed and smiled when
Vevay came into the room. After crossing her legs, allowing a small amount of
skin to peak out from the silk of her robe, Soliel beckoned the girl to her.
?Undress yourself slowly pet. Then me, and then see if you can surprise me.?

Her uniform dropped away, revealing soft, pale skin. With the level of skill
that only a woman could have, she slipped out of her undergarments. Advancing
on Soliel, Vevay traced the lines of her body with her eyes only. "As you
command," she said with a growl.

Pulling Soliel's gown down her shoulders, Vevay pushed her back against the
bed. A sick fascination gripped her and she wondered how far she could push the
fine balance of their relationship. Wrapping her fingers through her hair, she
kissed her harshly.

The aggressiveness of Vevay?s acts surprised Soliel, but they also pleased her.
It was a right step towards making her the woman she could not yet see in
herself, but Soliel could make out in the depths of her eyes. She allowed the
fire behind the kiss to continue to build. She even allowed Vevay to raise and
pin her hands above her head, but she took the opportunity to look up into
Vevay?s eyes as she gently warned, ?Only for tonight, pet.?

"Then I will have to take full advantage of it, won't I?" Vevay's grin widened
as she continued her increasing aggression. It would be interesting to finally
play out the fantasies she's been having ever since their relationship had
started. Let's see how far you will truly let me go...

Soliel would never allow this form any of the others. Vevay wasn?t anything
like the others, though. She needed to offer moments like this to her dear one
the same way her Ronni had offered them to her. It was part of allowing things
to grown, allowing Vevay to grow, but the connection they shared would never be
broken. In the morning she would make sure their roles were reestablished, but
for now she would allow Vevay to lead without fear of repercussions. Which
would turn out to be a good thing for both of them since Soliel couldn?t
remember the last time she hadn?t held back in order to keep a tight rein on
her control. Slowly her mind began to let go of any coherent thought, and again
she was glad she hadn?t canceled Vevay?s time.
