"It's Time"
Standing off in the corner the two men watched as grumbled. The shuttle was too
crowded, it was going to slowly, the right people weren't there. Most of all
they bickered about what they were watching.
"It's too soon." The Englishman protested yet again.
The man standing next to him out an arm around him and smiled. "Relax old man.
She knows what she's doing."
The Englishman huffed and shirked off the other man's arm. "It's not time yet.
There's still a few weeks to go."
"It'll be fine." The second man reassured. "It's a little early but you've got
to trust that they know."
"How do they know?" The Englishman asked as he watched the dark haired woman
stand beside the sleeping young woman, her hands resting on the woman's over
large stomach.
The second man shrugged. "Honestly? I have no idea. Could be a telepathic
thing. Could be a female thing. Could be a motherly thing. Whatever thing it is
though it leaves us out."
"I still says it's too bloody soon." The Englishman crossed his arms and huffed
again.
"Your a high stung fella aren't ya?" The second man chuckled.
The Englishman simply glared.
The dark haired woman looked up at them and smiled as she nodded once.
Both men blinked. "She's coming." They said together. Again the woman nodded.
"How soon?" Asked the Englishman.
Melanie's face twisted in discomfort as her hand went to her stomach.
"I think that means soon." The second man replied.
The Englishman grunted. "Thank you Maddox I wouldn't have guessed that in a
million years."
Maddox laughed. "Relax Luis we're about to become grandfathers."
Melanie moaned softly as she rolled a little in a vain attempt to ease the
sudden discomfort. As she started to wake up she slow released what the
discomfort was. With her eyes still closed she held her stomach. "Not yet." She
whispered. Not without Vevay.
"Elphaba, where I come from we believe all sorts if things that aren't true..
We call it.. History."
