Inner Turmoil

After returning from his meeting with Admiral Valdez, Keith sat in his 
quarters.  He was going to be meeting with the Romulan scientist, but TâPex 
was 
within the quarantine field, so he would wait.
 
âYou killed them.â
 
âThey would have killed us.â
 
âSo many lives ended.â
 
âAnd they could have taken ours.â
 
âYou struck first.â
 
âI did what was necessary.â
 
âYou will pay for it.â
 
Keith sat in the darkness, his mind going back and forth in the madness.
 
âThey know.â
 
âThey will have to find the truth.â
 
âThey suspect.â
 
âThey will have to investigate.â
 
âThey will crucify you.â
 
âLet them come.â
 
Neither side truly winning out, instead he was split.  He continued on in 
this way for many hours.  Still in darkness.  Still in quiet.
