<USS Avalon> Getting The List

Getting The List

Karg was heading for the gym when he was summoned to meeting room three. Kira
was waiting for him there. "We have a subspace coded message coming in from
DS9 marked for our eyes only."
"This should be interesting."

After giving his access code, Garak’s face appeared from his office on
Cardassia. "Greetings Colonel, Senior Lieutenant, I thought a Star Fleet
message
would raise less eyebrows."
Kira nods, "Of course. Thank you Garak. Have you something for us?"
he replies, "You forget to whom you are speaking. The difficulty in this task
was verification. We were able to come up with three names. Of that number,
our margin of error is less than 2%. One of these names I think will surprise
you."

The screen in from of Karg splits. On the right side is the list. The last
name was the one that everyone knew. Now there was a lot to consider. "Thank
you
Garak. I owe you one."
"Yes, you do Senior Lieutenant. Out."

Karg has crossed the room to look out the window. Coming to his side, Kira
asks, "What are you going to do?"
"Well, there is no doubt that Garak has his own agenda so I’ll have to check
the names but I'm sure the captain will want to see the list."
"What about the last name."
"That bothers me. Whether it belongs on the list or not, this is not good."

Right now, the list exists only on a PADD. Once it got into the ship's
computer, anyone from Section 31 might be able to retrieve it or alter it along
with
Garak’s research.

"Lone Eagle to captain Ketchum."
"Go ahead lieutenant."
"I was wondering it you had any plans for dinner tonight."
On the viewer, Keith can see the expression on Karg’s face and the PADD in
his hand. Karg was suggesting a meeting that would seem casual to anyone who
might over hear. "Thank you lieutenant, I have no plans."
"Terrific sir, my quarters sir, 1900?"
"Very well, I’ll be there. Out."
