Medical history

Ms. Cate is in excellent physical condition as she trains daily with martial 
weapons. Her heart rate and blood pressure seem to stay fairly level even under 
large amounts of stress. However, her family medical history is unknown and 
therefore a 'wild card' in her medical profile.

Psychological profile

Lyryn Cate is one of my most interesting patients. Though she has suffered 
great disappointments throughout her life and career, it hasn't seemed to 
effect her mentally. She is able to stay calm through many situations that 
would test the abilities of most. She is very quiet and soft spoken, but 
extremely friendly. In fact, she never lacks for friends and quickly draws the 
loyalty of those around her. Ms. Cate will make a fine officer someday, though 
she does seem to have a distaste for violence. This is the only aspect of her 
character that I find disconcerting, given her career.

Personal history

Was abandoned in a hospital at approximately 18 months of age. Sent to 
government run orphanage.

Adopted by Agnes and James Nulty almost immediately. Returned to orphanage 6 
months later. Mr. and Mrs. Nulty sited that she was 'too intense' for a child 
that age and that it was 'disturbing' to Mrs. Nulty.

Adopted at age 4 by Marie and Isla Gornato. Returned to orphanage 30 days 
later. No reason sited.

Adopted at age 7 by Shane and Nora McClintock. Returned nine months later when 
Mrs. McClintock became pregnant.

Adopted at age 12 by Ethan and Aliya Galidor. Returned at age 14. The Galidors 
had been killed in a shuttle crash.

Military Profile

By age 16, after two more years of staying in a government facilitated 
orphanage, Lyryn Cate was sent to the UCP placement institute where they tested 
to ascertain her skills and how she could contribute her time as well as her 
expertise in any field they thought useful. 

As it turned out, Cate's tests indicated high adaptability and strong reflexes. 
Within twenty four hours, she was sent to Bamarren- a Cardassian Security 
Institute. During the course of four years of training, Lyryn was given high 
commendations in her output. Noted commendations also given from the Romulan 
Training Facility when she took a course in an exchange program. Her talents 
for security and intelligence gathering (Cate speaks several languages 
fluently) coupled with her ability to remain calm under most stress made her an 
indispensable recruit for the UCP. 

Upon passing, the Institutes had complete control of her career and, as it 
seemed, her life. She was immediately assigned <Information Classified>. After 
a year of her given assignment she was then transferred by her superiors to the 
other side of the UCP border. Her mission was to <Information Classified>. She 
was then transferred to the Tempest under the rank of Lieutenant.

Facility

Stardate 7509.26 Passed the Bamarren Institute.

<Information Classified>

Stardate 7706.19 Assignment Complete, sent to Romulus for further orders. Given 
new assignment.

Stardate 7908.03 Promoted to rank of Lieutenant; assigned to the Tempest
