"Final Reports"
Captain Lewis
Georgia finished making her rounds throughout the ship and now that the red
alert klaxons had stopped she decided to return to security and finish her
paper work and sign off to the next shift. She had left Ensign K'etrall in
Sickbay and was sure that by now she had also returned to security and turned
in
her report thereby making a quick get a way. Georgia had made a reputation for
herself in a very short time and she was learning that people did not
appreciate it. As far as she was concerned that was too damn bad. She had a
job to
do and she was going to do it and expected those beneath her to follow her
orders to the letter or pay the consequences. She was not in this world to
make
people happy or to have them like her. She was here to make sure that they
stayed alive one way or another. If they couldn't handle that then that was
just to bad. They were going to have to learn how to live with it because she
wasn't going any where, not now and not in the near future.
Once back in security she sat in her office behind closed doors, with a
glass of brandy and a big cigar. She leaned back in her chair, bit off the end
of
the cigar and spit it into the trash, then lit the cigar and took a deep puff
and blew out rings of smoke that appeared as halo's around her head. It was
a laughable sight but one that Georgia was enjoying for the moment. If people
could see her now. She really wasn't as bad as everyone thought she was,
but it was best to let the perception continue. It helped her job and it
helped
to keep people alive, which was her main goal.
After finishing her brandy she set about working on her reports and getting
them ready for Major Roan. So far Lt. Ketchum had done a decent job although
he would have to work on his attendance and tardiness. That could be taken
care of in due time. She was also sure that there would be repercussion's
because of her handling of the situation in sickbay and the CMO's relationship
to
Colonel Soliel but she didn't back down easily.
Speaking of the high and mighty Colonel, Georgia was just finishing her
paperwork when she was called to the Colonel's office. She took what PADD's
she
had done and placed them on Major Roan's desk for her review and then took her
time getting to the Colonel's office. She wasn't afraid of this woman and
she wasn't going to cow tow to her either. She knew her job and she did it
well.
That was all that mattered.
