Filling in the  Blanks

Skyler took her place in her chair and  took a breath before speaking with 
the Captain. "I think we have a definite  problem and if my instincts are 
correct if we don't fix it fast this ship is  doomed." 
 
"I think that somehow the gel packs  have become infected and the infection 
is spreading throughout the ship." She  waited for him to reply or to do 
anything for that matter.

 
He didn't turn to her but stared at the  viewer.  Something nagging at his 
mind.  "So noted.  Make sure  that anyone and everyone available is looking 
into 
it." 
 
Suddenly the comm  sounded.   "Captain, have we approached our guest's home 
world  yet?  Now might be a good time."
 
"Just now entering orbit around the  first planet, we are trying to set up 
communications and scanning the planet  currently for life signs.  With the 
issues we have been having with what  appears to be the gel-packs, might take a 
few minutes to get a clear  signal.  A recommendation might be to try from one 
of the shuttles,  also."
