End to Shoreleave

The consoles bleeped on and off. It was probably the sound on the entire 
bridge, devoid of life. Anthony looked out as the viewscreen gave the image of 
the outside interior of the starbase. But his eyes shifted as he saw Alder on 
the CONN. He felt sad for his partner. And the man?s silent stare at the 
interior of the starbase made Anthony want to know what he was thinking about. 
Like being lost in his own little world. Anthony was about to get Alder?s 
attention when the Captain walked out from his ready room. He looked at Alder 
quickly and then to Anthony.

"Return of crew, Inform, shoreleave ended."

Or maybe that?s what Anthony heard as he tried to re-assemble the sentence. He 
looked at the captain with a frown etched, but he nodded. He hoped the Antican 
wouldn?t be like this all the time, and considering his first encounter with 
the new captain, it wasn?t about to change just yet.

Anthony didn?t want to be the bearer of bad news, but a job is a job. He 
quickly sent out the messages of shoreleave being over just as the last few 
systems updates were being verified and accounted for. Repairs to the ship was 
done, and all of the new people had arrived. 

"The messages have been sent to all those currently not on board, sir. Is there 
anything else?" Anthony said as he looked up to the captain.

He shook his head, "in ready room, I will be."
