Chief Medical  Officer's Log
Doctor  Felicity M. Roan
 
       Felicity exited the conference room after the meeting concluded, still 
unhappy  about the Captain's response to her comments about Dr. Cazook's 
presence and  headed for her office.  She wanted her reservations put on file 
and 
in her  own words and if nothing else, it would help her feel better about the 
whole  thing.
 
       "Chief Medical Officer's Log, Stardate 0823.10.  The Captain is 
continuing  to stonewall my requests for information on the presence of the new 
doctor  aboard the Avalon regarding Commander Skyler and Lieutenant  Marksbury. 
 I 
am most troubled by this matter.  While Dr. Cazook has  been nothing but a 
professional and extremely pleasant to have on staff, her  reluctance to 
discuss 
the matter has left me very concerned.  This  decision, made by the Captain 
and Dr. Cazook, could impact the crew at any given  moment.  The Captain has 
offered to discuss this matter with me at a  separate time and I will be 
contacting him after this log is entered to schedule  the meeting.  I need to 
confirm 
that as the Chief, I am responsible for the  crew's well-being and not being 
left in the dark.  Privately, I  am concerned that perhaps the Captain has 
lost faith in me as his chief and  Dr. Cazook is meant to be my replacement and 
her mission is a test of her  qualifications of some sort.
 
      "As  an aside, the murderer of Captain Flubb is still on the loose and 
while no one  is certain who that person might be, it is nonetheless 
troubling.  I am  trying to stay alert for signs of stress on the crew.  There 
are a 
few crew  members that have been referred to the counselor for stress.  I hope 
that  it will subside with time.  It is apparent that Ms. Crusher and her staff 
 are working diligently to find the murderer and let the crew move on past 
this  troubling event.  One hopes that it will be very soon, or at least I  
certainly do.  End Log."
 
       Felicity closed the log and send a meeting request to the Captain.  
She  needed to meet with him and try and get to the bottom of the presence of 
Dr.  Cazook.  The sooner the better she  decided.
