       Skyler left the bridge after talking to the Captain and went in
search of Ensign Michael Bailey. "Computer locate Ensign Michael
Bailey."

    "Computer--Jr Lt Michael Bailey is in his quarters."
    Skyler entered the turbolift and headed in search of the new
asst. engineer. She really hoped she had improved her standing by coming up 
with a way to solve the problem at hand. Suddenly the lift stopped. She
exited it and headed toward Bailey's quarter's. It wasn't long and she found 
them.

       She stood outside the door and rang the chime, waiting for a reply.

    Bailey opened the door, and smiled softly "Hello, Commander. Can I help 
you?"

    The door opened and Skyler was looking at the Ensign who didn't
know his life was about to change.

    "Ensign can I come in? I need to talk to you and it is of some 
importance."

    Bailey nodded softly and stepped to his side extending a hand into his 
quarters, "Please do, you're always welcome Commander."

       Skyler entered the young ensign's quarters, forgetting how young
he was. She took a seat on a chair. "I hate to bother you, but could I please
have a glass of cold water ?"

    Bailey smiled "Of course" he said as he walked over to the replicator in 
which he just fixed, "Water please, temperature cold" a gold little  glimmer 
formed and when it disappeared a cold glass of water appeared, he picked it up 
and handed it to the Commander.

    "Thank you Ensign. The reason I am here is to offer you a position in 
Engineering instead of Security. I reread your Bio and it stated that you had 
an 
extensive background in engineering and temporal mechanics. Is that correct?"

    "Yes, ma'am. That's correct" Bailey perked an eyebrow wondering why he 
was chosen, he thought about it for a bit but shrugged it off and offered a 
smile.

    "Then if you would like I am offering you the position of
Asstiant Engineer. Unfortunately at this time I cannot offer you a promotion, 
that is up to the captain. You will be working along with Jr Lt Asst. 
Engineer K'etrall if you accept. I need to know now as you will have to go 
right to 
work from here. So what will it be?"

    Bailey thought for a moment, twisting his lips in a thoughtful
state before looking deep into the eyes of the Commander, "I accept."

    "Good, now K'etrall is expecting you in engineering so why don't
you change your uniform and lets get to work. The rift we
are in is causing problems with the engines. Besides that. it is also sending 
us to a place we don't know where we are nor do we know what time period we 
are in so you will have your hands full. So if you can figure that out as well 
it would help a lot."

    Bailey stood up from his chair dispensing of his uniform shirt
that was half unzipped anyway, he tossed it upon his bed and stepped into the 
bathroom with a new uniform shirt, "Aye, Commander"

       Skyler and Ensign Bailey, Assistant Engineer made a bee line to 
Engineering to start working with K'etrall to figure out the problem and where 
and 
when in the universe they were.
