<USS Avalon> "Captain's Eyes Only"

"Captain's Eyes Only"

Once Andy had left the Bridge the Captain took a deep breath. She asked for a
status report on both ships, once everyone had reported in, she turned to her
Ops officer. "Hail the Avalon, Priority One, Captain's eyes only, and route it
to my ready room."

Looking around she noticed Kaelyre wasn't back yet so she looked up at her
Romulan second officer. "You have the Bridge."

"Yes Captain." The Ops officer replied as he watched the dark haired woman make
her way across the bridge and slip into her ready room.

The Romulan simply nodded.

Stopping at her replicator she ordered a cup of tea and then walked over and
sat behind her desk. She took a sip and waited for her screen to light up.

Still sitting in No Where, he watched the view screen; the ship obviously was
not a current design. He was glad to have turned off the bridge and battle
bridge view screens and scanning of the vessel. He turned to the sixteen panel
screen, and shook his head; the twenty intruders caused severe damage. He
wasn't pleased.

Suddenly, the desk panel beeped with a message from the outside. Another thing
he had to do, have all external comm traffic come directly to him. He reached
over and tapped the screen, "Ketchum here, how can I help you?"

The sight of the man on her screen actually surprised her for a moment. She
wasn't used to him looking so young. "It's good to see you again, Sir. Well, in
a way." She paused a moment before continuing. "Guess we'll start off
officially then. I'm Captain Grace Dareth of the USS Banshee. Can we be of any
further assistance? Oh and I believe we have one of your crewmen onboard."

He blinked for a moment, Dareth...but Dareth isn't... oh how he hated temporal
stuff, "We have a lot of wounded and dead, but I think that we have the
intruder situation contained. And one of our crew... hmm, that must be my
Chief Engineer, he was trying to close the wormhole."

"If you have it handled then I'll have my Marines stand down." Grace replied.
This was so weird. "We weren't aware that a ship from your time had been
dispatched. When we noted activity in the wormhole we thought it was "them"
again, so we disabled the shuttle. Unfortunately, we got pulled in just as the
charges he set went off. This of course means we have a new problem, Captain."

"Yes, I was briefed on the mission by a Senior Lieutenant Lance Griffith and
Commodore Edward Fry. And problem, yes, I guess so; the wormhole probably
isn't able to send you back. Am I correct?" His mind began wondering what to
do at this point. The only real course of action is to talk to the Commodore.

Grace shook her head. "No it can't, and as luck would have it, it would of
course have to be you guys sitting here. You won't believe the time bombs I
have sitting on my crew, Captain."

"I see. This does make it difficult, Captain Dareth", he would not get used to
that. "Perhaps, we would need to meet and we can take you to see Commodore
Fry, he is overseer of temporal issues. Unfortunately your ship can not, as it
definitely is unique in this line. One good thing, the Badlands still hides
things very well." He smiled, though unsure of himself.

"If I were to come aboard, Captain, I would have to keep a secret to several of
your crew including your first officer." Grace nearly shuddered at the thought
of trying to explain herself to her Aunt. "In fact the fewer people who know
the better. I'm sure Commander Kaelyre wouldn't have a problem watching the
ship."

"Of course, Captain, I'm sure we can come up with a suitable alias for you.
And I will leave my questions, so not to know too much information. Which will
be difficult", he smiled.

Grace laughed. "I can imagine. I will speak with my first officer and be in
touch, Captain. Oh, and we'll send your crewman home as soon as we can."

"Thank you, Captain. I await your call."
