Calling the Commodore
by Captain Keith Ketchum and Doctor Brookman
Keith watched Felicity leave the office, he had to put her mind at ease. It
was bad enough that Skyler didn't trust his decisions, but now he was feeling
it from the Chief Medical Officer, also.
He looked over at the console and found that nothing was on his schedule as
of yet, so he opened a secure connection to Commodore Brookman's location.
"Captain Keith Ketchum of the Avalon for Commodore Brookman."
"Please hold, Captain", the ensign replied.
"Captain Ketchum! What a pleasant surprise. How may I help you?" Brookman
smiled as he quickly fixed his glasses.
"Commodore, thank you for allowing me some time to talk to you."
"Please, it's Doctor. Anytime, my schedules have been actually quite empty.
What can I do for you?"
Keith took a deep breath, "Commodore, umm Doctor, I hate to ask this of you,
but my Chief Medical Officer has confronted me regarding Doctor Cazook. I
have advised that the reason was confidential, but she desires to know more. I
asked her to contact you, but fear that she won't, and would ask that you
contact her."
"I see," he thought about the matter, "I was going to contact her as soon as
the Avalon arrives to earth. But since Doctor Roan is insistent, I will talk
to her immediately. Also, there's already an operative on your vessel. A
Lieutenant James Monroe; inform him to be in Intel when your ship arrives."
"May I inquire as to what the matter maybe?"
Brookman nodded, "It concerns Lieutenant Marksbury. Her updates with Doctor
Cazook have been... erratic. Not to mention the updates on Commander Skyler's.
Also, the reports have been.. doubtful when it comes to Marksbury's contact
here in Intel. I assure you, this is being handled as we speak, but it will
take
time and should be all resolved when the Avalon arrives."
"Understood, I will let him know. And thank you for your time, Doctor. I'm
sure that Doctor Roan will be glad to hear from you, also. Ketchum out."
Keith closed the comm and sat back, hopefully another matter averted.
