Calling the Avalon

Waiting for the connection to be made to the Avalon, he still paced. Finally 
the screen changed showing the bridge of the Avalon.  "Commander Skyler..."

Skyler was sitting in the Captain's chair nervously waiting for the call from 
Captain Ketchum. When he suddenly appeared on the mainview screen she was a  
little surprised. She stood and straightened her uniform. "Captain Ketchum, I 
have been expecting you."

"Yes, Commander, I suspect you have", Keith muttered the last part, "So 
what's been happening?"

On a scale of 1-10 Skyler's headache just reached a 12. She knew perfectly 
well that he knew what had been going on, since she had already sent him a 
message. "Captain, we have known each other long enough that I think we can do 
away 
with the little mind games. I am sure by now you have recieved my message 
about Captain Flubb, otherwise you wouldn't be calling."

"Actually, Commander, I have not yet received your message.  But I do know 
about Flubb, I have other contacts on the Avalon.   Anything about the murderer 
yet?" 

Taken back abit by Ketchum's remarks Skyler took a deep breath to calm her 
nerves. "We have yet to determine who the murderer is. Forensics has given the 
room and the body a complete inspection. I am currently awating the results of 
their tests. The Ready Room has been secured and all protocols followed. I 
have also had the Rydyn delegates confined to their quarters to prohibit any 
further contamination of the scene. Sir, May I ask why you felt the need to 
have 
other contacts aboard the Avalon?"

"Commander, even when I was on the ship itself, there were contacts that 
provided me information, I just chose to have them keep me informed when I am 
here."  He thought for a moment, "And I will be heading out to the Avalon."

"Excuse me, did you say you would be heading out to the Avalon? May I ask 
why? Is it that you don't feel that I am capable of commanding this ship?" 
Skyler's headache was now a 14 and rising. 

 "Commander, when the Antican's find out about their only Captain in 
Starfleet being dead, things may be more than both of us can control." 

"Yes Sir. When will you be arriving? Outside of this communication there has 
been no other outgoing communication....that I am aware of ."

"I will be en route within the hour, should arrive within six hours.  And if 
you were busy with securing Flubb, then would you have known?  We'll talk more 
when I arrive."  Keith closed the comm before Skyler could respond.
