"Call To Arms"

Skyler looked around the battle bridge and realized she was short a few  
people. Tapping her comm badge she called, "Ensign Lombardo, Sgt. Major  
Williams, 
and Ensign Vevay Davis, please report to the battle bridge. This is  not a 
drill."
 
She didn't know what was happening on the rest of the ship but she was  going 
to make sure that her area was covered. She was antsy but was trying  her 
damnedest not to show it. She barely heard Lyta or John when they gave their  
reports.
 
"Cmdr. helm diagnostics indicate everything is ready to go."
 
After Lyta reported in, John gave his report, "All weapons and tactical  
systems are online and ready for your order's Ma'am."
 
"Geez, you two. I am not a Ma'am, just Cmdr will do fine. Don't want to  
sound like an old lady. At least not before my time. Maintain your posts and  
let's hope the rest of the crew appear in the near future." I wish they  would 
get 
here so we are fully prepared....
