Bridge Duty

Timeline: as Commanders Skyler and Sierra go to meet the Captain

Karg took over the Captain's Chair as Keith left the Bridge for his office 
with the First and Second Officers. Karg knew that his time as Acting XO was at 
an end. He assumed that Commander Skyler would again be XO and that Commander 
Sierra would be returned to his post as well after some wrist slapping. 

Karg thinks back to a lesson from his Uncle Joseph, "It is wise to remember 
the Roman Custom."
"Which one is that Uncle?"
"A victorious Roman General would drive his chariot into his home city at the 
end of his army's procession. Behind him stood a slave, whispering into his 
ear that all glory is fleeting."

It seemed like only a few minutes before the meeting was over. At the 
Captain's orders, Karg instructed the ship's computer to accept command codes 
from 
Commander Skyler as XO and Commander Sierra as Second Officer. 

From his tactical Station, Karg checked the engine performance that the CO 
wanted. "Sir, ship's warp engines are currently at 70% of normal. We can do 
warp 
4 or 4.5 till repairs are complete."

Karg is thinking, "Well, that's it. No word from the captain, no words of 
appreciation. What was I expecting anyway? Now, at least, I can work my shifts 
and spend some time with my new fiance."

"Computer, pull all relevant information on Worm Holes with temporal 
displacement and dump it to the terminal in my quarters."
"Acknowledged."
