Lt Snuffy

Lt Snuffy leaves the bridge and returns to the Science lab for the first time 
in over a month.  T'pice is doing an experment on enhancing the scanners with 
less power drain and more ability.

T'Pice:  I see the captain has released you from your jail cell.  I have been 
working on enhancing the scanners, this is the 9th test and so far there has 
been a 78.4865% increase in scanning ability with a 43.0972% less usage in 
power.  Do you want me to continue this work or do you have us a new project?

Snuffy: you have done well T'pice. No keep working on the scanners and add 
the ability to enhance scans for temporal rifts to your project.  Well Done. I 
want you to present a briefing to the Captain at the next senior officer's call 
about these enhancements. Our orders are to scan for rifts and ways to close 
them, your enhancements to the scanners could be very helpful.

T'Pice continues her work on the scanners.  Snuffy pulls the science 
department logs for the last week and catches up on his duties as CSO.  After 5 
hours 
of work, T'pice looks at Snuffy and speaks...

T'Pice: Sir a breakthrough!  We are scanning with only 30.712% of our alloted 
power and i have increased all scanning fields by 143%.  I am picking up a 
rift on long range scans that is one proton wide and a parsec long.

Snuffy: Snuffy to Ketchum:  You are needed in Science Lab, We have dected a 
rift on long range scans.

Snuffy: T'pice scan the rift for all information that these enhanced scanners 
can get.  Set the computer on auto and get some rest aftr you brief the 
captain when he arrives.

T'pice: Aye sir.

T'Pice continues to work on the scans. Snuffy pulls up on his desk display an 
awards request.  He fills out the request for T'Pice to recieve the 
"Excellence Ribbon" for her enhancement to the scanners.  He sends this request 
to the 
Captain for his approval.  Snuffy awaita the arrival of the Captain to Science 
Lab.
