Lt. Snuffy

T'Pice sitting in front of her screen viewing the data from the rift, Snuffy 
at the main science desk replaying the trip through the rift and moments prior 
to present.

Snuffy> Computer, playback to time index 0247.38.

The computer replays the information on the main science viewer.  Snuffy 
watches the event again for the 7th time.

Snuffy. Computer pause now!  Back up data to time index 1256.03 now.   
T'pice, watch this and tell me what you see!

T'Pice> AyeAye sir. watching the viewer.

The computer starts replaying the program at the time that the Avalon was in 
the rift fully and not having exit yet. T'Pice & Snuffy both see something 
strange in the rift.  It is like many mini images of events playing along at 
very 
high speed where weeks would be like seconds, years like minuets, centuries 
like hours. Both look upon in a daze.

T'pice > Snuffy, this is a time rift that is moving very fast, the events 
that we have seen are things that will happen in our future.  The regulations 
for 
this event would prevent us from discussing any event except with the Captain 
and only then if it would prevent a major event like war or destruction of a 
planet.
Snuffy> T'Pice have you learned any thing that could help us close the rift 
if we fing it again after getting us back home, I for one do not want to end up 
like another Boseman  and be stuck in a time that is not my own.

T'Pice> I have been viewing the data and believe there is a way to close the 
rift, but there is a 23.1982865% chance that we could still be stuck in this 
time period of sent futher in to the future and a 54.98724% chance that we 
would be destroyed in the attempt to close the rift.  I need a holodeck to 
couduct 
the expirments on closing the rift, but there is no power to them due to the 
engings off line.

Snuffy> Understood, keep trying until we get a holodeck.  I am going to the 
bridge and advise the captain of these events.

T'Pice contiues to work on the data and setting up the experiment, while 
Snuffy goes to the bridge.

At the turbo shaft Snuffy finds that there is no power to the turbo lifts, 
and the lift is four decks below him.  He spreads his wings and leaps into the 
shaft, flying up toward the birdge hatch.  Arriving at the bridge hatch Snuffy 
bangs on the hatch to get help from the bridge crew. The crew hears the 
banging and one member is sent to the hatch to investigate.  Snuffy bangs on 
the 
hatch and yells: 

Snuffy> I am Lt Snuffy, my wings are getting tired of my hovering here help 
me open this hatch so I can get on the bridge and report to the captain.

A startled bridge crew member helps Snuffy pry open the hatch and helps him 
onto the biidge and points to the Captain's readt room. Snuffy walks to the 
ready room hatch and reports to the captain with all the information about the 
rift and the need for a holodeck ASAP.
