     Skyler was sitting in the command chair, since it was her shift. 
Michaelson was covering helm/navigation and Henderson was covering tactical. 
They had 
to reach Vargus II in order to attempt to rescue Lt Thomas. 

     From what she had heard Vargus II was not a very hospitable planet. It 
was very gold and very rock like. She wasn't sure if Lt. Thomas had survived 
and if he did, how he managed it. Any team she sent down was going down in a 
shuttle with full all weather gear just to cover all bases.

     She was lost in thought when Ensign Michaleson called to her.

     "Commander, we are approaching Vargus II. What are you orders?"

     "Put us in standard orbit and henderson start scanning for Lt Thomas's 
lifesigns. Also scan for any other life signs you might find. I also need a 
report about the planet."

     "Yes, Ma'am, replied Henderson as he began to scan. I will get a report 
to you as soon as possible."

     "Captain Ketchum we are in standard orbit around Vargus II and Ensign 
Henderson is beginning scans of the planet to search for Lt Thomas as well as 
get us a report on the planet. I suggest if we send an away team down that they 
go in all weather gear to protect themselves. Skyler out."

     Skyler sat and waited to hear from the captain and to hear from 
henderson about the planet.
