Arrival at the Scene

With Commander Skyler, Lieutenant Karg White Feather and Ensign Jordan Ranger

The Avalon came in sight of the nebula, as Keith and Skyler were both on the 
bridge.  "Captain, Commander, the Aquli Nebula, I am scanning for the 
Allegiance.  There she is", came the update from Operations.

The Allegiance was shown on screen, and the bridge crew looked wearily at the 
ship.  Keith asked the obvious question, "Can we hail her?"

"I've been trying to hail when we were in range, either the radiation is 
redirecting our signal or they've lost the ability to send and receive."

Keith turned to Skyler, "Well, what do you think?  Beam over to the bridge 
and go from there?"

"That would be a good plan, but what about their shields?"

Both he and Skyler look at Karg, "Yes, sirs, their shields are up", 
responding before being asked. 

"Check again, when we are in normal visual range, they might not see us yet." 


"Aye, Commander."

"And continue to run scans on the ship; I want to know if their warp core is 
offline?  How many are alive and where they are, and any thing we can find out 
about the life form."

"Aye", responded all the bridge stations.

"Ms Waterson, switch to maneuvering thrusters, due to the radiation, and dark 
matter, we don't want to ignite anything.  Put us right in front of the 
Allegiance."
