"Approaching the Station"
Captain Skyler
 
 
Having finished her early morning talk with Tavi, Skyler  watched as  the 
child made her way to school. She was relieved that Tavi had taken the news  of 
her new abilities as well as she did. She herself was relieved to find that  
she may not have the Q-like abilities but time would tell and they would deal  
with that if and when it happened. For now she had a bridge to get to.
 
Walking along the halls to the turbolift she wondered what was in store for  
them with this mission. She hadn't been given much information and as of yet 
the  Admiral had not made appearance. She reached the lift and entered it. 
Leaning  against the wall she ordered, "Bridge."
 
As the lift stopped she exited and entered the Bridge only to find everyone  
doing their job efficiently. The Lt. in charge stood and turned the bridge 
over  to Skyler. Upon taking  the vacant seat she ordered a report from all  
departments.
 
All departments reported everything was as it should be. They were  
approaching McKinley station and according to the helm would arrive within a  
half 
hour. 
 
"Mr. Henderson send a message to McKinley station that we will be arriving  
within a half hour and to have a docking bay ready."
 
James looked at Skyler and nodded in acknowledgment of her order. After  
tapping a few buttons he looked at Skyler, "Ma'am, McKinley station is 
expecting  
us and will have a docking bay ready. They also have two passengers waiting to 
 come aboard."
 
"Passengers? What passengers?' This was most curious.
 
"According to the station manager the passengers are an Ensign Sera Teryn  
and Dr. Georgia Lewis."
 
The look on Skyler's face at the mention of both names could stop a  shuttle. 
"Did you say Ensign Teryn and Georgia Lewis?"
 
"Yes, ma'am. They have been assigned to the Avalon again." James looked at  
Skyler and was surprised to see the look on her face.
 
Taking a deep breath Skyler regained control of herself and nodded at  James. 
"Thank you. Helm proceed with current course." She then tapped a button  on 
her arm console, "Attention all crew. This Captain Skyler. We will be  
approaching McKinley Station in approximately 30 minutes."
 
With the message sent Skyler could do nothing else but wait. Waiting was  not 
something she did very well.
