A Visit to Science

Keith took a moment to grab something from the table, before entering the 
turbo lift, "Science."  Hopefully the ride would be uneventful, but what he had 
to do in Science was not going to be.

The turbolift slowed and the doors opened, and he exited.  "Commander Skyler 
can you please join me in the Science Department."

"Aye, Captain, on my way."

He waited until Skyler joined him and they walked into the Science 
department, "Captain on deck", T'Pice explained as they walked in.

"As you were", the room settled down.

"Can I help you Captain? Commander," Snuffy asked curiously.

"Well, Lieutenant, we have come down here for a grave matter", Keith started.

"And it was something that we could not keep 'swept under the rug', so to 
speak", Skyler continued.

"Agreed, so we regret having to do this, but."

"Lieutenant Junior Grade Snuffy, front and center", Skyler ordered.

Snuffy jumped up and almost flew over the desk to stand in front of the two.

"It is with great pleasure that we promote you to the rank of Full 
Lieutenant, with all the rights and privileges associated with it."  Keith 
hands the box 
to Skyler to pin on.

"Congratulations, Lieutenant."
