A Life on the Run

Lol awoke from hiding in the back of the shuttle that Snuffy had used, he 
closed his eyes, sensing that the ship was not moving and the engines were 
powered off.  He quietly made his way from his hiding place to the dock.  
Looking out, he didn't see anyone.  He grabbed his bag and exited the shuttle.  
What better place to disappear from than a Starbase.

He made his way through the station to a clothing shop and purchased a civilian 
outfit of very non-descript clothing.  He changed and stuffed his starfleet 
uniform into his bag.  As he looked through the remainder of the bag, he became 
more frantic.  "Where are they", he muttered to himself.  He dumped the bag 
onto the floor.  The realization came across his face.  The shoes weren't 
there, they were still in his quarters.

Stuffing the items back into his bag, he made his way to a civilian transport 
and purchased passage heading away from Earth, they would never be able to find 
him.  Once he reached a secure destination, he might be able to re-appear with 
a new name.  Maybe *they* would help him out again this time.

Another Captain dead.  Another life on the run.
