Admiral Keith Ketchum had left the Avalon with two passengers on the
shuttle, Marine Lieutenant Offenburger and Sergeant Winters. He had to get
them to
the USS Horizon for a mission, and pick up Commander Wilkinson for a totally
separate mission.
He felt like he was playing courier, but the subspace comm, was no place to
send these orders.
The transfer of the crew was quite simple, and his giving of orders to
Commander Starfire was straight and to the point.
He was already on his way back to the Avalon with Commander Wilkinson within
an hour.
Knowing Commander Wilkinson, he wasn't sure even if he could handle the
plan, but he had to, the Federation may depend on it. Ok, Keith thought that
was
a little extreme.
"Commander, any other questions about the mission?"
"I think it is pretty cut-and-dry, Admiral."
"I thought so also. But you never know when you write these up, what will
become questionable."
"I understand completely. Being a commanding officer myself, I know that."
"Very good, once I am on board the Avalon, the shuttle is your to complete
the mission. Just bring her back when your done."
"Of course, Admiral", Frankie smiled, "We should be at the Avalon in about
four hours."
"Very good. I'll be in the back, working on something."
"Aye, Admiral."
