Hi again, Michael.

You mentioned that when you try and launch Reaper you're unable to read the
screen using JAWS. Could you tell me what keys you used to read the screen? In
other words, have you used the JAWS cursor with any success? Does the insert+B
hotkey work, which normally reads the text of the active window.

Have you considered attempting to either repair or uninstall and then reinstall
Reaper to see if this particular issue goes away? Bear in mind that I don't use
Reaper but am just thinking more generically, since I'm not familiar with that
software.

Also, are you using Kaspersky Antivirus or Kaspersky Internet Security or a
similarly named suite? I know that Kaspersky security products have the ability
to define what they call trusted applications and they also use a firewall,
from what I remember reading. I have no direct experience with their security
software, as I only use Kaspersky Antivirus. The antivirus portion doesn't
allow for defining custom programs, antispam and firewall settings but the
other security suites they offer have these additional features and it's
entirely possible, though certainly not definite, that one of these features
could be part of the issues you're experiencing.

Have you tried contacting the Microsoft disability answer desk? Even though
Kaspersky is not one of their products they may be willing to at least provide
generic help with deciphering and confirming error messages.

They were willing to assist me with installing my copy of Kaspersky Antivirus,
which has a totally inaccessible installer for the later editions.

I just bought a laptop with windows 10 and I have a free year of Kaspersky. I

I am in the middle of a course that uses a conference software. I might have
solved that problem though I don’t know how. It had to do with blocking audio.
Now what I did there to fix that appears to have messed up the reason for the
course Reper which is a recording software. Reaper was working fine and now it
won’t even load. I’m quite sure Kaspersky is behind this and jaws won’t read
the screen.

I also find that my email (outlook 2016) runs much slower on this new machine
than my old one. Again I don’t know if this is Kaspersky or not.
Can anyone please help me.
Thank you
Michael
