Guys

 

I seem to remember this problem from a few versions ago but have not
confronted it since working in 2007.  I have a document sent to me as a .doc
(but created on an early MAC).  I have had plenty of docs from this person
before to edit, but this one has a “corruption”.  When I try to save it, it
allows me to save it as a docx, but then makes me save the .doc as well.
The docx is dependent on the doc, so if I delete the original, the copy
disappears as well.

 

Does anyone remember this one and how to fix it?  It may have been a 2002
problem, and something to do with versions, I think.
