atw: Word Tip: Replacing text with whatever is in the system clipboard / paste buffer.

For Windows Word (most versions).

Select and copy what you want, either from within Word or from any
other open Windows application, then swap back to Word.
(Ctrl+C copies a selection. Alt+Print Screen captures a window.
Print Screen Captures the entire Windows desktop screen.)
Back in Word.
Edit > Replace.
(Whatever you want to search for with ^c - the most recently
captured content of the system clipboard.)

Now try replacing something.

Very handy for replacing things with graphics and other objects that
the Replace with: field cannot accept.

Just don't go overboard by bulk replacing multiple instances of text
with huge graphics or even Windows itself might spit the dummy while
Word corrupts the open file.

As always, save and back up your working files before attempting any
major, document-wide change.

HTH.
