atw: Word 2003 - Paste stops working

I've been experiencing a problem regularly for the past couple of weeks
- Paste stops working.
To regain the function I have had to power the PC off and on.
I haven't been able to find any solution in the Help or MS web site, so
far.
Does anyone know if I might be doing something to cause this, and/or how
to prevent it and also re-establish Paste without having to power
off/on.
