Website Editor

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission has an excellent 
opportunity in Sydney for an editor to assist the Internet Manager. 

We have two websites: one for professionals working in and advising 
Australian companies and financial services institutions; and FIDO, our 
website for financial consumers and investors. 

In consultation with the Internet Manager you will:
·       edit content for ASIC websites and e-newsletters
·       monitor currency of content
·       write new content
·       liaise with ASIC staff to update and develop website content and 
e-newsletters
·       key in new and updated website content
·       assist with editing and checking ASIC Digest and derivatives and other 
ASIC projects as required
·       answer website feedback
·       liaise with IT on day to day operational issues.

It is recommended that your application contains a resume of your work 
history and educational qualifications or training and a supporting letter 
emphasising the aspects of your skills, qualifications, knowledge and 
experience as they relate to each of the following criteria for the 
position: 
·       an ability to write in plain language
·       a proven ability to edit and structure website content
·       an ability to implement user focussed information design
·       experience working with subject matter experts to develop and 
update website content
·       an ability to prioritise work to meet tight publishing deadlines with 
minimal supervision.

Qualifications: Relevant qualifications or extensive experience 
communications. 
Desirable: A sound understanding of ASIC's role in enforcing company and 
financial services laws to protect consumers, investors and creditors. 
Experience working with software for managing and editing websites.
