PaintshopPro 8 worked a treat - no more vaseline eyes!
It's just a bit hard to get the hang of doing the manual iris outlines (and
a bit rough on the tendonitis). The auto iris option gives you a fuzzy
round blob where the eye is. Of course the eye is never this shape when
you're a bit tipsy and grinning from ear to ear (these were work cocktail
party photos) or looking away from the camera. You get to tweak the "glint"
size and brightness and whether it's centred or not so the new "eye" looks
a lot more natural.
I also managed a bit of airbrushing to fix skin tones. There are so many
new features since the last trial I did of version 7, it's well worth
having a look. Am almost sorry we bought SnagIt....almost.
Lastly, it's just amazing how popular the techwriters become when someone
needs a hand with graphics/photos. Be nice if it were so all the time.
*sigh*

Oooh, John (M).
That one made me come over all GUI.
"Vaseline-eyed", even.

Hi folks,
Can anyone tell me whether there's an easy (or relatively easy) way to
correct the red eye effect in digital pics? A colleague has tried using
Photoshop (not sure which version) but it doesn't look very natural. The
blue-eyed blonde looks more like a vaseline-eyed blonde.
Any thoughts?
E.
