Does anyone have any good tips for using Dreamweaver? I'm pretty new to the
program, and I'd love to hear any juicy nuggets that you know.
For example, can anyone recommend any exceptionally good tutorials?
(Unfortunately, the first tutorial in Dreamweaver's Help is about using
tables for page layout. I thought using tables instead of CSS was about as
sinful as manually formatting all your printed documents instead of using
styles!)
In the spirit of reciprocity, I can offer the following as some kind of
Dreamweaver "tip":
If you edit the text in the Link box on the Properties panel, Dreamweaver
doesn't recognise that you've made a change until you move the focus. As a
result, Dreamweaver doesn't ask whether you want to save changes if you
close the page straight away! (Yes, I found this out the hard way, several
times!) So, try to develop the habit of pressing Tab (or Ctrl+S) after
typing in the Link box. (I'm using Dreamweaver MX 6.1)
Cheers,
Craig
