Irene,
This reminds me of a story I read once, and of course is possibly
apocryphal, of a series of unfortunate Freudian slips when a journalist
was told by his editor to write an obituary for a recently-deceased
soldier who the journo knew had a reputation for being a heavy drinker
and for lacking backbone during his fighting career.
The journo, intending to write that the soldier was "battle-scarred",
inadvertently wrote that he was "battle-scared".
Then, in response to complaints about this from the outraged relatives,
he issued an apology, and wrote that he meant to say that the soldier
was in fact "bottle-scarred" !
Regards,
John.

A PROMINENT plastic surgeon from the eastern suburbs of Sydney has won
his case against a website designer over unacceptable nudity and bad
grammar.
Howard De Torres, who lists among his areas of expertise rhinoplasty,
breast enlargement and otoplasty (correcting bat ears), was awarded
$4278.50 against a Sydney web designer, Toni Fitzgerald, whose taste,
grammar and spelling failed to convey the fact that the plastic
surgeon's skills advertised on his website "were professional services
of some gravity".
