Hi Bob -- I only have the faintest glimmer of a remote possibility of good
news, I'm afraid. It used to be that in certain circumstances you could open
the document in a text editor and find the password. The easiest way is to
rename the file to .txt and double-click. Then you rummage around and look
for something that looks as if it might be the password. Amazing as it
seems, I actually did this once with a real file and it worked.
I have no further details on exactly where and how to rummage. I also can't
remember whether the text content was visible in the text editor, but you
may be lucky, if the file was made with an old version.
The bad news is that the whole thing has been improved and in more recent
versions the password is not exposed in plain. Still, good luck.
