One thing no-one seems to have said is that TW pay is well above the
average, so anyone with good money skills will do very well indeed, despite
housing and petrol costs.
Inner city rents are more than made up for if you don't have a car and can
use public transport. What you save on the car/petrol, pays for the
additional rent - but public transport is patchy, so you need to check this
out well.
If you take a job somewhere that has trouble finding workers they may
arrange the accommodation for you. Look for mine sites in isolated areas
and maybe Canberra (once did do this - don't know if they still do). In
fact, thinking about it, Canberra would be a good starting place.

Hi David,
You are welcome. By the way, how are the technical writer job openings in
UK? How easy is it to migrate to UK for TW? I do have some relatives in UK.
I was considering of UK, Australia, and U.S. I heard the job market in U.S
is badly affected because of the recession and U.S economy slowdown.
I am also equally worried about the remuneration, but I really do want to
experience working outside India, since I always wanted to study in a
university abroad and that did not happen because of my early
marriage, kids, and family commitment. Since my husband has finally agreed
to my idea of relocating, I thought why not make use of the new
opportunities, letting the past behind!
Regards,
Siri
