Hi Petra,
If the vogue is to use metaphors incorrectly rather than plain English 
correctly, 
how about a 'paradigm shift' for your nuginean example?
And in the language of the organisational scientists, the productivity change 
that was unexpected is called an 'unintended consequence'.

People, can we please stop using this 'marketing speak is OK' rubbish, and 
get back to plain, simple, correct English?
