atw: Re: puts Telstra to shame

Many things do, Peter, except in the area of their GSM mobile network,
which works a treat.

Although I've almost left them several times over their totally brain-dead
billing systems.

Mind you, I dumped their land line service for Primustel over their
horrifically unintelligible and wasteful "new simpler and more compact
single bill" in which the page numbers quadrupled with extraneous crap as
two billing systems tried to throttle each other to death.

Every time the release a "Your Bill - a new look, simple and easy" letter,
like I got the other day, I know I'm in for some corporate psychobabble
totally unrelated to a bill that makes no sense at all.

Their new bill has replaced commonsense explanations for unintelligible
codes that even the MobileNet folk on the help line took a half hour to
decipher. Done by some programmer mushroom, no doubt.

For example:
HP = High Peak
HO = High Off-peak
MA = MobileNet to MobileNet Off-Peak
MV = MobileNet to MobileNet Peak

Still makes no friggin' sense.

Der!

Cheers,

Michael
