An example that sets my teeth on edge every time I see it is
'everyday'. 'Everyday' makes a fine adjective, but I see too many
examples of 'everyday' being used where 'every day' should be used.
This morning's example was a similar construction on some fundraising
chocolates being peddled by a co-worker. It's Mars confectionery, made
by Master Foods, an organisation big enough and rich enough to employ
someone to proof-read their advertising.
The package says
"It's easy....everytime."
Their three-word sentence contains two errors, if you count the
four-dot ellipsis. It's a wonder they got the apostrophe right.
