atw: Re: myths and legends + return to onto

Go easy, folks.
I had a look at the Snopes website. They are not scientists
nor even library search experts. Their searches are neither
exhaustive nor evaluated by any known set of evaluative
criteria. That's one of the problems with web material.

Perhaps good for foisting on the great unwashed. A bit like
the coffee table books we used to buy - expensive, pretty
and damn near useless.

Brian.
  Terry opined:

There's a great site called Snopes
(http://www.snopes.com) that looks at almost all of
the myths and stories perpetuated via emails.
