I would say that whatever you do , don't ever sign up with Three. They
are the worst of them all (and I've had all of them). Phones are pure
garbage , hardly any service anywhere..and I've heard this from lots of
people. Also, avoid the new Motorola video phones..
I liked Optus..shouldn't have left them..coverage was the best with them
and Telstra.

I suggest Virgin Mobile for mobile. (Even though it's 100% owned by
Optus)
For reliable service broadband and VOIP try IINET www.iinet.net.au .
Their iphone service is chucked in with ADSL+ broadband.

It is about reliability, strength of signal and fast unconfusing
access to what you need.........................
Maybe that stops when they get too big too fast
I feel that Virgin is about low cost, games, silly preening and
not about convenience
Just wondering if there are any other strong players out there?
I do keep a Telstra prepay card for traveling in areas of low
coverage but I don't need it much.

Learn to get angry with them when things go wrong. It is the
only way to jump them.
