I suggest Virgin Mobile for mobile. (Even though it's 100% owned by Optus)
For reliable service broadband and VOIP try IINET www.iinet.net.au . Their
iphone service is chucked in with ADSL+ broadband.

I feel that Virgin is about low cost, games, silly preening and not about
convenience

I do keep a Telstra prepay card for traveling in areas of low coverage but
I don't need it much.
