A big call. I think you will find wireless does not have the bandwidth
to fully replace an optical fibre backbone. 3G is fast now because the
road is fairly clear but I am interested to see what happens as traffic
builds up. Australia has needed an optical backbone from 5 years ago.
Sadly, in broadband terms, we are pretty much at the hand-cranked party
line stage.
