Hi Janice,
I used to go to most of the meetings for two reasons:
- even if the topic didn't relate directly to my work, I found that I could
almost always pick up something of interest
- networking!
I have found that just being able to meet, talk to and get to know other tech
writers over a period of time is invaluable. I should declare here that I am a
past President, but please don't hold that against me.
So come along if you can, and try to make it a regular date. Introduce yourself
around and enjoy!
Hope to see you there,
Sue

Subject: Digression: Question for ASTC (Vic) Members
Do people usually come to monthly meetings even if the topic is not relevant to
their particular situation? I'd like to meet some of you next week but the topic
itself is not something that relates to my work and I thought it might be
relatively specialized for some other people as well.
Have a nice weekend, everyone!
