Dear all,
First of all thank you for you constructive criticism.
I will try to answer all your doubts in this mail:
1. Yes, English is not my first language and even not the second one. I
build this site by myself. Thanks to your feedbacks I will try to improve it.
2. The testimonials are from real people who work in my company (I am an
engineer) and tried Acronyms Master.
3. The SW if offered for free. I hope to make it commercial in the future
but now it is for free for everybody. However, people who install it for
personal and non-commercial use can continue using it for free forever. For
more details, please see End User License Agreement while installing the tool.
4. Acronyms Master is not a Trojan horse and not a spyware. First, it is
not legal; second, I hope to make this SW commercial in the future.
5. I use “yahoo” address because I prefer to receive austechwriter mails
on my personal mail. Acronyms Master support mail is available on the website.
6. This is not a spam; anyhow I will not send more mails.
So, I hope that I could answer some of your doubts. If you think that Acronyms
Master would be useful for you, don’t hesitate to use it. I would appreciate
any constructive feedback.
Best regards,
Alex Becker.

I suspect the kind of software this "developer" is providing is also the
same kind of software used to try and foil anti-spam software, which is
designed to auto-generate email subject lines and attach them to the
content. If it is, then beware... It will be another attempt at phishing for
legitimate information and using it for other gain.
Warren.

I think you will find this has been auto translated from French.
I think it would have been much nicer to say something like - hello whoever,
we don't know you on this list, perhaps you might like to introduce yourself
and tell us how you came to develop this product?
But all in all, not wise to follow the links.
Hmmm

I thought this was a little unfriendly--perhaps, like many people, he
has a separate throwaway e-mail address for use with mailing lists.
Perhaps English is not his first language--you don't need to be a tech
writer to write useful software.
Then, when I looked at the site, it did seem odd that the three
testimonials from happy users are all in the same stilted English. I
particularly liked the write-up from "Jane", who describes herself as "a
technical writher". I'm sure we've all felt the same way.
It also seems odd that a free tool is being promoted quite aggressively.
There's a classified ad on the techwr-l site, and Google returns dozens
of hits with the same wording ("Acronyms Master Creates Acronims Table
in your document. A unique SW tool.")
It's hard to know whether this is a genuine contribution to the
community, in which case sorry Alex, or a Trojan Horse that will
disgorge all sorts of horrendous spyware on your PC the first time you
run it. I'm erring on the side of caution.
