Thanks Christine and Michael.
I could have simply solve the problem by 'copy-paste', but I need to
preserve the changes, and I have already worked on the document after this
happened. I tried Christine's advice, I agree it is probably something very
simple, but it's not from the toolbar.

Rafi

Rafi, I know the problem – you just get that email header at the top of the
page as a toolbar. I can’t remember how to get rid of it again though, but
you may want to look at View, Toolbars. Or try clicking or right clicking
in one of the toolbar areas. It’s something astoundingly simple.

Hi Rafi (M)
I'll try and assist from memory, as follows:
First: In MS Word, try Ctrl+Z or Edit > Undo (name of action, such as: send
as email) and see if that helps.
(You almost certainly hit a quick key combination that tried to E-mail the
document in use.)
Second: As a safety measure, see if File > Save As... (press F12) is
available to save the "E--mail" as an RTF or Word document file, so that you
have a backup, from which you can restore the text to the file.
If not then, and only if you recently saved your file before unintentionally
trying to E-mail it:
Third: Close Word without accepting save changes or send file before
proceeding.
You might then be able to restart Word and reopen your doc file, either from
the recent files list in the Start menu or from the recent files list in the
Word File menu.
Also, to prevent this from happening again, in the MS Outlook Tools >
Options > Mail Format tab, deselect Word as its E-mail editor.
Hope that helps.
Cheers,
Michael Granat

Hi
I would appreciate some help with the following (stupid) problem: I was
working on a 'Word' document and I don't know what I pressed by mistake but
the document has turned into an outlook express email. The format is intact
but it has this email header. This is the good old Word2000, I am quite
happy with it
otherwise. This happened to me once a few years ago, but I forgot how I
solved
the problem then.Would appreciate help with turning this email back into
a regular doc.
Regards,
Rafi
