Chris
-----------------------------
generic categories of meaning:
------------------------------
Objects bias (differentiating):
BLEND - wholeness, whole numbers
BOUND - partness, rational numbers
Relationships bias (integrating):
BOND - share space, irrational numbers
BIND - share time, imaginary numbers
From these come composites as reals, complex, quaternions, octonions. All
else follows....

Sure...but there is the scope to add such a requirement - as shown in the
many add-ons supplied by users - http://plone.org/products
IF you are a small, non-IT-aware organisation then there is a need to be
careful and if need be buy some commercial product such as AuthorIT, but if
you have an IT element then you can get the base format of Open Source
products and customise to your particular needs.
As for XML tools, the Altova set of tools is well-developed but of course
costly (700 euros for the XMLSpy alone - the 'free' version is ok for
learning etc but not much else - but they do give full XML/CSS coverage so
if you have the money it can be worth the purchase).
MS-Office is moving into the XML environment and so should offer better
tools then at present but all with a Microsoft 'bent'! As I said, I have not
worked with Office 2007 beta nor checked-out the specs yet so I am not savvy
as to what they are offering re XML. Anybody more familiar with 2007 specs?
Chris.
