atw: Re: Word's find & replace dialog wildcards <long wide load>

Thanks Steve H.

Of course, my absolute favourite find and replace trick in Word is what I
call, the "Dump-a-lump Replace":
1. Select and copy (or even Alt+Print Screen capture) something (within or
beyond Word) to the WinDoze clipboard / paste buffer.
2. Press Ctrl+H in Word to display the Find / Replace dialog.
3. Type what you want to replace in the Find field.
4. Type ^c in the replace field.
5. Handle with care, depending on what the replacement is.
Word replaces what it finds with the contents of the clipboard.

So much fun for inserting large sections of formatted text at key points,
later in the lifecycle of a document.

You just plan for this by inserting a silly / inoffensive but memorable phrase
in the document, wherever you will need to do such a replace, then search
for this later and bombs away!

HTH.
