In Word 2000, it's "Format: Font New". I thought it might respond to a change 
of 
font at the start of the search string, but it doesn't.

In fact, it's important to note that the formatting applies to the whole search 
string -- you can't search for "look at this" where "this" is bold and the rest 
not. I 
know; you can't do that anyway -- the point is that, when you're typing text in 
the doc, actions such as Ctrl+B take effect (turn bold on or off) from the 
point of 
typing; they don't work that way in the Find window.
