Just seen your next mail, but had finished this so will send it anyway.
Consider the consequences of an upgrade to 2007 - if this is ever likely to
happen - when designing these kinds of solutions.
If you upgrade, toolbars from old templates will be hidden and only revealed
after clicking on a tab, so they are one click further away and you need to
know where they are. Also you will not be able to add new toolbars or
modify the old ones easily.
The only visile user customisable toolbar is the Quick Access Toolbar.
Macros can be added to this using pre-defined symbols (which I find hard to
remember) but you will have a lot of competing priorities for that toolbar.
Quick Parts, which are a more sophisticated form of autotext, and probably
more likely to be usable, although are still be one click away and not
immediately visible, so again, you need to know where they are. The
advantage is that you get a preview of the content.
If you upgrade, you are likely to have to change your templates to
accommodate the new features.
